Gas Extinguishing

Systems complying with British Standard 6266 are supplied and installed. A purpose extinguishing system can be linked with a variety of extinguishing agents - dependant on client or insurer requests.

FM200
This gas can extinguish Class A, B & C fires in less than 10 seconds. This gas is clean and electrically non-conducting. The gas in normal installations discharges to 7.5% concentration which will sustain life. Therefore it is an excellent extinguishant for occupied rooms and data storing areas.

The bottles have a smaller "footprint" than their inert equivalent. Where space is important, this gas is the answer.

Carbon Dioxide Gas
The method of operation is to reduce oxygen. This gas however, is toxic to humans in the concentration required to extinguish flames. It is vital that the CO2 is only used in applications that are closely managed and employ physical controls for monitoring of entry to the risk.

The most common application would be an unoccupied area such as a transformer room.

The advantage of this gas is that it may be used in a local application such as process machinery. CO2 also provides a very high amount of heat absorption.

Argonite
This is a blend of nitrogen and argon, two naturally occurring gases. Argonite has zero ozone depleting products and contributes nothing towards global warming. At the same time it has an enviable 50 year track record, producing no secondary combustion products.

Argonite is not prone to fogging, is non-toxic, non-corrosive, leaves no residue and is electrically non-conductive. This makes Argonite an ideal replacement for Halon 1301. Its typical applications being, tape and computer stores, switchgear compartments, telecommunications uses and confined space risks.

Using the latest in computer aided design, Haven Fire are able to undertake every aspect of the scheme in accordance with our strict quality assurance ISO 9002 scheme.
